How A Battery Works


HOW A BATTERY WORKS



     A battery has two sides a positive side and a negative side.  The negative side has negatively charged ions. The positive side has positively charged ions.  Ions are consisted of 2 different parts the nucleus and the electron cloud.

The nucleus (like the sun in our solar system) takes up 99% of the entire mass of the 
atom. The nucleus has both neutrons and protons, the number of protons equals the type of 
atom it becomes, the number of neutrons equals the different isotopes.  The electron cloud (like 
the planets take up the other 1% of the entire mass of the atom). The electron cloud is made up 
of only electrons the number of electrons equals the positive, negative, or no charge. How the different charges are determined is how many protons there are and how many electrons there are, if the number is equal then there is no charge if there is 1 more electron then it has a -1 charge, if there is 1 more proton then it has a +1 charge. The reason why the energy goes out of the battery is because opposition attract and equals repel.

I know all of this seems complicated to make one little battery but truth is that is basically how it is done. So there you have it that is how a battery and electricity work.
