Pasty is on the edge of clasping. Reason why I say this is because on page 64 she even said to her soon to be husband my john that she needed to rest because she was so tired she could sleep on the ground.
On page 96 she was running after her crazy mother and that must have be tiring after 30 min.
Throughout the book she had to take on the responsibility of being the woman of the house, witch is a hard thing to do.
